Recording method and recording apparatus

A recording method which uses a water-based ink composition and a treatment liquid containing an aggregating agent and is performed by a recording apparatus that includes an ink jet head, the recording method comprising:

• a main scanning to eject the ink composition and the treatment liquid from an from the ink jet head so as to be adhered to a recording medium while the ink jet head is transferred with respect to the recording medium;
• a sub-scanning to transport the recording medium in a sub-scanning direction which intersects a direction of the main scanning;
• and
• a ventilation step of sending a wind to the recording medium in the main scanning,
• wherein the ink jet head includes a first nozzle line and a second nozzle line,
• the first nozzle line includes a portion (A) located upstream in the sub-scanning direction and a portion (B) located downstream in the sub-scanning direction, the portion (A) and the portion (B) each being configured to eject the ink composition which is the same ink composition,
• the second nozzle line includes a portion (C) located upstream in the sub-scanning direction and overlapping with the portion (A) in the main scanning direction, and a portion (D) located downstream in the sub-scanning direction and overlapping with the portion (B) in the main scanning direction, the portion (C) and the portion (D) each being configured to eject the treatment liquid,
• in the main scanning, the ink composition is ejected from the portion (A) and the treatment liquid is ejected from the portion (C) so that the ink composition and the treatment liquid are overlapped and adhered to the same main scanning region of the recording medium by the same main scanning,
• in the main scanning, the ink composition is ejected from the portion (B) and the treatment is liquid refrained from being ejected from the portion (D) so that the ink composition is adhered to the recording medium, and when the ink composition is adhered thereto, the treatment liquid is not overlapped and adhered to the same main scanning region of the recording medium by the same main scanning, and
• when the main scanning is performed, the recording medium to which the ink composition and the treatment liquid are adhered has a surface temperature of 33° C. or less.
