Abstract
A hybrid vise comprises a saddle, a first jaw mounted to the saddle, a second jaw, the saddle movable relative to the second jaw, a drive for moving the saddle and thus the first jaw relative to the second jaw, wherein the first jaw comprises an upper cast portion and a lower sheet formed portion which are connected to one another and cooperate to accept the saddle therein and wherein the second jaw comprises an upper cast portion and a lower sheet formed portion which are connected to one another and define a channel through which the saddle extends.

A vise comprising:
- a saddle;
- a first jaw mounted to said saddle;
- a second jaw, said saddle movable relative to said second jaw;
- a drive for moving said saddle, and thus said first jaw, relative to said second jaw;
- wherein said first jaw comprises an upper cast portion and a lower sheet formed portion which are connected to one another and cooperate to accept said saddle therein;
- wherein said second jaw comprises an upper cast portion and a lower sheet formed portion which are connected to one another and define a channel through which said saddle extends.
