Claims12
An irrigation apparatus comprising:
- an elongate housing comprising an outer wall defining a receiving opening, a discharge opening and an elongate housing cavity that extends between the receiving opening and the discharge opening;
- and
- a dispenser that is attachable to the housing at the receiving opening, said dispenser being shaped and dimensioned to fit almost entirely within the housing cavity, and said dispenser defining an inlet opening that is configured to receive water from a water supply conduit and an outlet opening that is in communication with the inlet opening and with the housing cavity, said outlet opening being spaced from the discharge opening of the housing when the dispenser is attached to the housing at the receiving opening;
- and
- wherein the dispenser includes at least one spreader element disposed at the outlet opening, said at least one spreader element includes a plurality of fins, each with a free end, and circumferentially protruding from the outlet opening into the housing cavity along a flow path of water, each of said fins being spaced away from the outer wall of the housing to spread water discharged from the outlet opening as said water flows into the housing cavity.
