System, method and apparatus for multi-vendor rolling code keyless entry and for identifying and storing key information and creating duplicate keys and remote entry devices

A method of selectively programming a Radio Frequency (RF) remote access device comprising a processor, a first memory, a second memory comprising an active memory partition adapted to store an active firmware configuration, and a transmitter, the method comprising:

• wirelessly receiving, by the RF remote access device from an external configuration device via a wireless configuration transmitter, data identifying one or more selected device configuration profiles, wherein the one or more selected device configuration profiles were selected via user engagement with one or more user interface elements on the external configuration device;
• determining, based on the one or more selected device configuration profiles of the plurality of device configuration profiles, a plurality of memory addresses in the first memory at which a plurality of encrypted sub-blocks of data are stored, wherein the encrypted sub-blocks of data correspond to the one or more selected device configuration profiles;
• selecting and retrieving, by the RF remote access device from the first memory using respective memory addresses of the plurality of memory addresses, preloaded encrypted sub-blocks corresponding to the one or more selected device configuration profiles;
• wherein the one or more selected device configuration profiles include information derived from one or more of the following vendor-specific properties:
• modulation schemes, binary encoding algorithms, data encoding techniques, packet payload templates, and algorithms configured to generate rolling codes to replicate the function of an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) keyless entry remote device;
• decrypting each of the retrieved encrypted sub-blocks of data;
• storing the decrypted sub-blocks of data in the second memory;
• accessing, by the RF remote access device processor from the second memory, the decrypted sub-blocks of data corresponding to the one or more selected device configuration profiles and generating an RF signal based on the one or more selected device configuration profiles;
• and
• transmitting, by the RF remote access device transmitter, the RF signal to an end device associated with the one or more selected device configuration profiles to cause the end device to perform a predefined operation.
