Wearable electronic device with hardware secured camera

A system comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one memory component storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
• providing power to one or more processor-readable storage media, wherein at least one of the one or more processor-readable storage media is an embedded multimedia card device configured to enable a write-protect state on a specified portion of the embedded multimedia card device;
• in response to providing the power, placing an image capture device in a locked state;
• and
• transferring the power to one or more processors of the image capture device.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:

• providing power to one or more processor-readable storage media;
• in response to providing the power, placing an image capture device in a locked state;
• transferring the power to one or more processors of the image capture device;
• and
• automatically issuing a locking command, the locking command comprising a protected address range for a storage component.
