Abstract
A tricyclodecane dimethanol composition comprising tricyclodecane dimethanols, wherein the tricyclodecane dimethanols comprise a chiral compound A, one of whose enantiomers represented by the following formula (I), a chiral compound B, one of whose enantiomers represented by the following formula (II), and a chiral compound C, one of whose enantiomers represented by the following formula (III), and a peak area Xc of the chiral compound C in a gas chromatogram and a total peak areas Xt of tricyclodecane dimethanols in a gas chromatogram, which are detected by a gas chromatography, satisfy Xc/Xt≥0.35.

A composition, comprising a tricyclodecane dimethanol mixture comprising:
- a chiral compound A, one of whose enantiomers has formula (I);
- a chiral compound B, one of whose enantiomers has formula (II);
- a chiral compound C, one of whose enantiomers has formula (III),
- wherein a peak area Xa of the chiral compound A in the gas chromatogram, a peak area Xb of the chiral compound B in the gas chromatogram, and a peak area Xc of the chiral compound C in the gas chromatogram satisfy Xc/(Xa+Xb)≥0.60, and
- wherein the peak area Xc and a total peak areas Xt of all tricyclodecane dimethanols in the gas chromatogram satisfy Xc/Xt≥0.35
