Abstract
A cooking appliance having a casing with a cavity formed therein, a first heat source module arranged at a side surface of the casing to emit microwaves to the cavity, a second heat source module arranged at a bottom surface of the casing to emit magnetic fields to the cavity, and a third heat source module is arranged at an upper portion of the casing to emit radiant heat to the cavity, whereby the second heat source module in an induction heating manner rapidly heats a bottom surface of a bowl thereby improving cooking speed of the cooking appliance together with other heat sources.
Claims20
A cooking appliance comprising:
- a casing having a cavity therein;
- a door provided to open and close the cavity;
- a first heat source module to emit microwaves toward the cavity;
- a second heat source module to emit a magnetic field toward the cavity;
- and
- a third heat source module to emit radiant heat toward the cavity;
- wherein the first heat source module is arranged at a first side surface of the casing, and the second heat source module is arranged at a bottom surface of the casing, and the third heat source module is arranged at an upper portion of the casing,
- wherein the casing comprises:
- an inner casing having the cavity therein;
- and
- an outer casing arranged outside the inner casing,
- wherein a plurality of electrical chambers are respectively defined in a space between the inner casing and the outer casing,
- wherein each of the plurality of electrical chambers corresponds to a different side of the inner casing, and
- wherein at least a portion of the first heat source module, a lower part of the second heat source module, the third heat source module, and a power supply unit are disposed in the plurality of electrical chambers that are different from each other.
A control method of a cooking appliance, the cooking appliance comprising:
- a casing having a cavity therein;
- a first heat source module, a second heat source module, and a third heat source module respectively arranged at different surfaces of the casing;
- and a main controller arranged at the casing to control operations of the first heat source module, the second heat source module, and the third heat source module;
- the method comprising:
- inputting a cooking level;
- and
- selecting, by the main controller, operation modes of the first heat source module, the second heat source module, and the third heat source module, respectively, in response to the input cooking level,
- wherein the casing comprises:
- an inner casing having the cavity therein;
- and
- an outer casing arranged outside the inner casing,
- wherein a plurality of electrical chambers are respectively defined in a space between the inner casing and the outer casing,
- wherein each of the plurality of electrical chambers corresponds to a different side of the inner casing, and
- wherein at least a portion of the first heat source module, a lower part of the second heat source module, the third heat source module, and a power supply unit are disposed in the plurality of electrical chambers that are different from each other.
