Abstract
An impeller assembly including a shroud and an impeller body. The shroud has an inner surface flaring outwardly from an inlet toward an outlet. The impeller body extends into the shroud. The impeller body has an eccentric apex that is connected to an inner surface of the shroud proximate an upstream edge of the inlet.

An impeller assembly comprising:
- a shroud having an inner surface flaring outwardly from an inlet toward an outlet;
- and
- an impeller body extending into the shroud, the impeller body having an eccentric apex that is fixedly connected to the inner surface of the shroud proximate an upstream edge of the inlet.
An impeller assembly comprising:
- a shroud having an inner surface;
- and
- an impeller body fixedly attached to and at least partially enshrouded by the shroud, the impeller body including an oblique cone shaped to correspond to the inner surface.
An impeller assembly comprising:
- a shroud having a flared inner surface;
- and
- an impeller body at least partially disposed within and connected to the shroud, the impeller body defining a rotational axis and having a plurality of fluid drivers, each fluid driver having
- an apex offset from the rotational axis, and
- a helical vane extending radially outwardly and shaped to correspond to the flared inner surface.
