Abstract
Systems and methods are disclosed for controlling video playback. An image may be received that is configured for display by the user device. A display map may be received indicating display parameters for configuring the display of the image based on an orientation of the user device. At least a portion of the image may be caused to be displayed by the user device based at least on the display map and a determined orientation of the user device.

A device comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the device to:
- receive an image configured for output by the device;
- receive output information associated with the image, wherein the output information comprises a first plurality of output parameters associated with a first orientation of the device, and a second plurality of output parameters associated with a second orientation of the device;
- determine the first orientation of the device;
- and
- cause, based on determining the first orientation, and based on the first plurality of output parameters associated with the first orientation, at least a portion of the image to be output by the device.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed, cause:
- receiving, by a user device, an image configured for output by the user device;
- receiving output information associated with the image, wherein the output information comprises a first plurality of output parameters associated with a first orientation of the user device, and a second plurality of output parameters associated with a second orientation of the user device;
- determining the first orientation of the user device;
- and
- causing, based on determining the first orientation, and based on the first plurality of output parameters associated with the first orientation, at least a portion of the image to be output by the user device.
