Vehicle door interface system

A method comprising:

• determining, based on data from a sensor, that an object is moving from within a first threshold distance from a door to outside the first threshold distance from the door;
• and
• outputting a first signal to an actuating system to open the door based at least in part on:
• receiving a second signal from the sensor indicative of the object moving from outside the first threshold distance from the door to within the first threshold distance from the door, and
• receiving a third signal from the sensor the object moving within a second threshold distance from the door to outside the second threshold distance from the door, wherein the first threshold distance is greater than the second threshold distance.

One or more non-transitory computer readable media storing computer executable instructions that, when executed, cause one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• determining, based on data from a sensor, that an object is moving from within a first threshold distance from a door to outside the first threshold distance from the door;
• and
• outputting a first signal to an actuating system to open the door based at least in part on:
• receiving a second signal from the sensor indicative of the object moving from outside the first threshold distance from the door to within the first threshold distance from the door, and
• receiving a third signal from the sensor the object moving within a second threshold distance from the door to outside the second threshold distance from the door, wherein the first threshold distance is greater than the second threshold distance.
