Ice maker and refrigerator having the same

An ice maker comprising:

• a tray configured to define an ice chamber;
• a case comprising a plate configured to fix the tray;
• a heater configured to provide heat to the tray;
• and
• a temperature sensor configured to detect a temperature of a water or a temperature of ice in the tray,
• wherein the case comprises a first portion that is provided at the plate and coupled to the heater, the plate defining a recess,
• wherein a portion of the temperature sensor overlaps with the heater, wherein the case further has a second portion for installing the temperature sensor, the second portion of the case comprising a first installation rib and a second installation rib that receive the temperature sensor, and wherein the case defines a heater through-hole which the heater passes through.

An ice maker comprising:

• a tray configured to define an ice chamber;
• a case comprising a plate for fixing the tray;
• a first heater configured to provide heat to the tray;
• and
• a temperature sensor configured to detect a temperature of a water or a temperature of ice in the tray,
• wherein the case comprises a first portion that is provided at the plate and coupled to the first heater, the plate defining a recess,
• wherein the first heater at least partially surrounds the tray and defines an inner area,
• wherein a portion of the temperature sensor overlaps with the inner area in a first direction facing the inner area, wherein the case further has a second portion for installing the temperature sensor, the second portion of the case comprising a first installation rib and a second installation rib that receive the temperature sensor, and wherein the case defines a heather through-hole which the heater passes through.
