A treatment composition for remediating for remediating hydrogen sulfide (H2S), carbon dioxide (CO2) and other contaminant(s) in a fluid, including: an organic or hydrocarbon based liquid; at least one hydroxide compound or a hydrate thereof; and sodium sulfide (Na2S) or a hydrate thereof.

A treatment composition for remediating for remediating hydrogen sulfide (H2S), carbon dioxide (CO2) and other contaminant(s) in a contaminated fluid comprising:
- an organic or hydrocarbon based liquid;
- at least one hydroxide compound or a hydrate thereof;
- and sodium sulfide (Na2S) or a hydrate thereof.
