Abstract
A vehicle shown herein is a side by side utility vehicle having frame configured to effectively transfer various loads throughout the frame as whole. The vehicle may further or alternatively include a routing tray configured to retain various fluid lines of the vehicle, a transmission including a passive duct acoustical attenuation device, a door seal configured to allow the frame to contact the seal at an angle, a modular door actuating mechanism, and/or a modular skid plate.
Claims14
A frame of a vehicle, comprising:
- a cab frame,
- a lower frame portion having a first frame member, a first pair of vertically-extending frame members and a second pair of vertically-extending frame members, wherein the first pair of vertically-extending frame members and the second pair of vertically-extending frame members are coupled to ends of the first frame member, and
- a bracket assembly coupling the cab frame and the lower frame portion, the bracket assembly including a first bracket coupled to the cab frame, the first bracket defining a pair of opposed plates forming a channel therebetween, the channel being configured to receive a portion of a second bracket coupled to the lower frame portion.
A frame of a vehicle, comprising:
- a cab frame,
- a lower frame portion having a first frame member, a first pair of vertically-extending frame members and a second pair of vertically-extending frame members, wherein the first pair of vertically-extending frame members and the second pair of vertically-extending frame members are coupled to ends of the first frame member, and
- a bracket assembly coupling the cab frame and the lower frame portion;
- wherein the bracket assembly includes a first bracket coupled to the cab frame and a second bracket coupled to one of the ends of the first frame member, the first bracket having a lower coupling interface and the second bracket having an upper coupling interface configured to couple with the lower coupling interface of the first bracket in a generally vertical orientation;
- and
- wherein the first bracket includes an inner flange and an outer flange, and the upper coupling interface of the second bracket is configured to be received laterally between the inner and outer flanges.

A frame of a vehicle, comprising:
- an upper frame portion,
- a lower frame portion having a first frame member, a first elongated component positioned in a general vertical orientation and a second elongated component positioned in a general vertical orientation, wherein the first elongated component and the second elongated component are coupled to ends of the first frame member, and
- a bracket assembly coupling the upper frame portion and the lower frame portion;
- wherein the bracket assembly includes a first bracket coupled to the upper frame portion and a second bracket coupled to one of the ends of the first frame member, the first bracket having a first coupling interface and the second bracket having a second coupling interface configured to couple with the first coupling interface of the first bracket in a generally vertical orientation;
- and
- wherein the first bracket includes an inner flange and an outer flange, and the second coupling interface of the second bracket is configured to be received laterally between the inner and outer flanges.
