Abstract
This disclosure describes an improved heat transfer system for use in reaction vessels used in chemical and biological processes. In one embodiment, a heat transfer baffle comprising two sub-assemblies adjoined to one another is provided.
Claims16
A method for carrying out a chemical process, a pharmaceutical process, or a biological process within a reactor vessel, the reactor vessel comprising at least one heat transfer baffle comprising at least one relief channel;
- and, at least one distribution channel formed between a first material and a support material;
- wherein:
- the distribution channel comprises heat transfer fluid therein;
- and,
- the heat transfer baffle is attached to the reactor vessel at a substantially seamless attachment point.
