Abstract

A vacuum adiabatic body includes a first plate, a second plate, and a seal for sealing the first plate and the second plate to provide a vacuum space. Optionally, the vacuum adiabatic body includes a supporter for maintaining the vacuum space. Optionally, the vacuum adiabatic body includes a heat transfer resistor for reducing heat transfer between the first plate and the second plate. Optionally, the vacuum adiabatic body includes a component coupler that is connected to at least one of the first and second plates and to which the component is coupled. Optionally, the vacuum adiabatic body includes a side plate extending in a height direction of the vacuum space. Thus, a vacuum adiabatic body for achieving an industrial purpose is provided.

Dependent claims

A refrigerator comprising:

a body having an opening;
and
a door configured to open and close relative to the body,
wherein the door includes:
a first plate;
a second plate spaced apart from the first plate in a first direction to form a space between the first plate and the second plate;
and
a support provided between the first plate and the second plate,
wherein the support includes a first part that overlaps an extension line that extends in the first direction from an internal surface of the body, and a second part that does not overlap the extension line, and
wherein the support is configured such that the first part has a higher strain resistance or failure strength than the second part.

a first plate;
a second plate spaced apart from the first plate in a first direction to form a vacuum space between the first plate and the second plate;
a support provided between the first plate and the second plate;
