Method for coating products

A method for coating molded fiber products, comprising:

• placing a molded fiber product in a product carrier, wherein the product carrier has a shape identical to the molded fiber product;
• weighing the product carrier with a first weighing device;
• filling a concave section of the molded fiber product with a coating liquid;
• attaching the product carrier to a centrifuging device having a centrifugal axis;
• rotating the product carrier around the centrifugal axis, wherein an excess portion of the coating liquid is removed from a surface of the molded fiber product;
• removing the product carrier from the centrifugal axis;
• and
• weighing the product carrier with a second weighing device.

A method for coating molded fiber products, comprising:

• placing a molded fiber product in a product carrier, wherein the product carrier has a shape identical to the molded fiber product;
• conveying, via a first conveyor belt, the product carrier to a first coating station;
• filling a concave section of the molded fiber product with a coating liquid;
• attaching the product carrier to a centrifuging device having a centrifugal axis;
• rotating the product carrier around the centrifugal axis, wherein an excess portion of the coating liquid is removed from a surface of the molded fiber product;
• removing the product carrier from the centrifugal axis;
• and
• removing the molded fiber product from the product carrier, wherein the product carrier comprises an air conduit port and a plurality of flow channels, wherein a vacuum system is coupled to the air conduit port, wherein the vacuum system is configured to apply positive pressure to the product carrier.
