Abstract
One or more data protection systems are configured to be mounted on a mobile device, the data protection system being configured and operable for protecting privacy of a user of the mobile device, by preventing remotely obtaining, from the mobile device, data indicative of surroundings of the mobile device including at least one of audio data, visual data and location data.

A data protection system configured to be mounted on a mobile device being external to said mobile device, the data protection system comprising:
- an ambient audio data protection system comprising one or more acoustic elements positioned in vicinity of one or more microphones of the mobile device and configured and operable to generate one or more audio signals;
- and
- a processing unit configured and operable to generate digital signals causing the ambient audio data protection system to generate the respective one or more audio signals;
- said data protection system being configured and operable for protecting privacy of a user of the mobile device, by selectively preventing said electronic device obtaining data indicative of surroundings of the device;
- wherein the data protection system comprises a sensory system configured for determining status of the mobile device and configured to determine that the mobile device is in an active call and to automatically deactivate the data protection system in response to determination that the mobile device is in an active call.

A case configured to be mounted on a mobile device, the case comprising a data protection system comprising:
- an ambient audio data protection system comprising one or more acoustic elements positioned in vicinity of one or more microphones of the mobile device and configured and operable to generate one or more audio signals,
- a processing unit configured and operable to generate digital signals causing the ambient audio data protection system to generate the respective one or more audio signals;

- wherein the case further comprises a sensory system configured for determining status of the mobile device and configured to determine that the mobile device is in an active call and to automatically deactivating the data protection system in response to determination that the mobile device is in an active call.
