User-based chaos system

A method for experimenting a telecommunications system, comprising:

• receiving from a mobile device a request from a user in the telecommunications system to invoke simulated failure experimenting from an automation platform executed by processing circuitry;
• instructing the mobile device to display recommended simulated failure experiments with selectable telecommunications domains and selectable failure parameters;
• receiving from the mobile device a simulated failure experiment based on one or more of the telecommunications domains or the selectable failure parameters;
• and
• executing, by the processing circuitry, the simulated failure experiment for the telecommunications system configured to test software in the telecommunications domain with the selectable failure parameters.

A system, comprising:

• processing circuitry;
• and
• memory connected to the processing circuitry, wherein the memory is configured to store executable instructions that, when executed by the processing circuitry, facilitate performance of operations, comprising:
• receiving from a mobile device in a telecommunications system an instruction to invoke simulated failure experimenting from an automation platform executed by processing circuitry;
• instructing the mobile device to display recommended simulated failure experiments with selectable telecommunications domains and selectable failure parameters;
• receiving from the mobile device a selected simulated failure experiment based on one or more of the telecommunications domains and the selectable failure parameters;
• and
• executing, by the processing circuitry, the selected simulated failure experiment for the telecommunications system configured to test software in the telecommunications domain with the selectable failure parameters.
