Abstract
Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for allowing completion of cardless transactions at a kiosk using an encoded identifier for that kiosk. A user of a mobile app may begin a transaction on their mobile device and, upon reaching a stage of the transaction where kiosk access is needed, receive instructions to visit a kiosk and scan the encoded identifier displayed by the kiosk. The scanned encoded identifier may be associated with the transaction, and the mobile app may transmit a request to complete the transaction at the kiosk.
Claims20
A computer implemented method, comprising:
- authenticating a user of a mobile app as an account holder of an institution associated with the mobile app;
- receiving from the user, via a graphical user interface (GUI), details of a transaction;
- after receiving the details of the transaction, instructing the user to visit a kiosk affiliated with the institution to complete the transaction;
- instructing the user to scan an encoded identifier displayed by the kiosk, the encoded identifier uniquely associated with the kiosk;
- associating the transaction with the scanned encoded identifier;
- and
- transmitting a request to complete the transaction at the kiosk.
A system, comprising:
- a memory configured to store operations;
- and
- one or more processors configured to perform the operations, the operations comprising:
- authenticating a user of a mobile app as an account holder of an institution associated with the mobile app;
- receiving from the user, via a graphical user interface (GUI), details of a transaction;
- after receiving the details of the transaction, instructing the user to visit a kiosk affiliated with the institution to complete the transaction;
- instructing the user to scan an encoded identifier displayed by the kiosk, the encoded identifier uniquely associated with the kiosk;
- associating the transaction with the scanned encoded identifier;
- and
- transmitting a request to complete the transaction at the kiosk.
A computer readable storage device having instructions stored thereon, execution of which, by one or more processing devices, causes the one or more processing devices to perform operations comprising:
- authenticating a user of a mobile app as an account holder of an institution associated with the mobile app;
- receiving from the user, via a graphical user interface (GUI), details of a transaction;
- after receiving the details of the transaction, instructing the user to visit a kiosk affiliated with the institution to complete the transaction;
- instructing the user to scan an encoded identifier displayed by the kiosk, the encoded identifier uniquely associated with the kiosk;
- associating the transaction with the scanned encoded identifier;
- and
- transmitting a request to complete the transaction at the kiosk.
