Abstract
Disclosed are portable containers for delivering food products from a central location to a remote location. More specifically, the disclosure relates to portable containers for delivering food products operable to maintain an environment for the food product during the delivery process.

A portable container comprising:
- a soft-sided enclosure having an openable section, the openable section operable to move from an open position, for receiving a container, and a closed position;
- an environmental control module operable to engage an environmental control module interface surface;
- a humidity sensor;
- a temperature sensor
- one or more exhaust fans in communication with the humidity sensor and the temperature sensor;
- one or more environmental controllers operable to control the one or more exhaust fans in response to a sensed humidity parameter from the humidity sensor and a sensed temperature parameter from the temperature sensor;
- and
- a power supply.

A transportation method comprising:
- providing a portable container comprising a soft-sided enclosure having an openable section, the openable section operable to move from an open position, for receiving a container, and a closed position, an environmental control module operable to engage an environmental control module interface surface, a humidity sensor, a temperature sensor, one or more exhaust fans in communication with the humidity sensor and the temperature sensor, one or more environmental controllers operable to control the one or more exhaust fans in response to a sensed humidity parameter from the humidity sensor and a sensed temperature parameter from the temperature sensor, and a power supply;
- opening the soft-sided enclosure;
- placing a food container within the soft-sided enclosure for transport;
- closing the soft-sided enclosure;
- configuring the environmental control module to maintain an environment within the soft-sided enclosure based on an identification of food within the food container;
- and
- transporting the soft-sided enclosure.
