System to generate high precision optical tag with gradient features at the corners

A method comprising:

• generating first data comprising:
• a tag including a first plurality of elements, and a first edge and a second edge together defining a first corner,
• the first corner having a third edge oriented parallel to the second edge and a fourth edge oriented parallel to the first edge, and
• a gradient feature, proximate to the first corner, that transitions from a first color value to a second color value, wherein the gradient feature is external to the tag;
• and
• determining output data based on the first data.

A system comprising:

• a memory storing computer-executable instructions;
• and
• one or more hardware processors to execute the computer-executable instructions to:
• generate first data comprising:
• a tag including a first plurality of elements,
• a first corner of the tag, and
• a gradient feature, proximate to the first corner, that transitions from a first color value to a second color value, wherein the gradient feature is external to the tag;
• and
• determine output data based on the first data.
