Abstract
An aircraft is described and includes a fuselage; wings attached to the fuselage; and a torque box within the fuselage, the torque box including a side panel, the side panel comprising a composite laminate material including a plurality of stiffening beads integrated therewith.

A torque box for containing damage subsequent to a hydraulic ram (hydram) event within the torque box, the torque box disposed within a fuselage of an aircraft and including first and second side panels disposed on opposite sides of the torque box, wherein each of the side panels comprises a composite laminate material including a plurality of stiffening beads integrated therewith and wherein end portions of the stiffening beads comprise ramp portions extending from top surfaces of the stiffening beads to a flat portion of the side panels.
