Providing additional information to called parties

A system, comprising:

• a called party device configured to
• receive a call and an identifier associated with a calling party;
• responsive to the identifier being received, query for information associated with the calling party, wherein the query comprises a call name identification (CNAM) query and when the CNAM is not identified, query for an automatic number identification (ANI) of a calling party device;
• and
• in response to the call being received, the called party device is configured to receive a message comprising an alert intended for the called party device, wherein the message comprises the information and the alert that identifies an occurrence of an event associated with an existing order, and wherein the information identifies a name associated with the existing order and information about an item associated with the existing order.

A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions that when read by a processor cause the processor to perform:

• receiving, via a called party device, a call and an identifier associated with a calling party;
• responsive to receiving the identifier, querying, via the called party device, for information associated with the calling party, wherein the querying comprises a call name identification (CNAM) query and when the CNAM is not identified querying for an automatic number identification (ANI) of a calling party device;
• and
• in response to receiving the call, receiving, via the called party device, a message comprising an alert intended for the called party device, wherein the message comprises the information and the alert identifying an occurrence of an event associated with an existing order, and wherein the information identifies a name associated with the existing order and information about an item associated with the existing order.
