Transferring a domain name on a secondary blockchain market and in the DNS

A system comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• one or more non-transitory computer readable media storing computer executable instructions that, when executed, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
• determining that a domain name is available for re-registration;
• sending, based at least in part on the domain name being available for re-registration, a first message to an executable program of a blockchain network that:
• configures the executable program to identify the domain name as available for re-registration;
• and
• configures a deed contract associated with the domain name to request information for verifying a first registrant associated with the domain name;
• and
• sending, based at least in part on receiving a request to re-register the domain name, a second message to the executable program that configures the executable program to cause re-registration of the domain name to a second registrant.

One or more non-transitory computer readable media storing computer executable instructions that, when executed, cause one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• determining that a domain name is available for re-registration;
• sending, based at least in part on the domain name being available for re-registration, a first message to an executable program of a blockchain network that:
• configures the executable program to identify the domain name as available for re-registration;
• and
• configures a deed contract associated with the domain name to request information for verifying a first registrant associated with the domain name;
• and
• sending, based at least in part on receiving a request to re-register the domain name, a second message to the executable program that configures the executable program to cause re-registration of the domain name to a second registrant.
