Abstract
An information handling system includes a plug-in connector interface and an accelerator module installed into the plug-in connector interface. The plug-in connector interface is located at a location on a printed circuit board of the information handling system. The information handling system instantiates a workload on a processor, and allocates a processing resource of the accelerator module to the workload based upon the plug-in connector interface being located at the location.
Claims20
An information handling system, comprising:
- a processor:
- a first plug-in connector interface located at a first location on a printed circuit board of the information handling system;
- and
- a first accelerator module installed into the first plug-in connector interface;
- wherein the information handling system is configured to instantiate a first workload on the processor, and to allocate a first processing resource of the first accelerator module to the first workload based upon the first plug-in connector interface being located at the first location.

A method, comprising:
- coupling a processor of an information handling system to a first plug-in connector interface, the first plug-in connector interface being located at a first location on a printed circuit board of the information handling system;
- installing a first accelerator module into the first plug-in connector interface;
- instantiating a first workload on the processor;
- and
- allocating a first processing resource of the first accelerator module to the first workload based upon the first plug-in connector interface being located at the first location.

- a first memory riser module installed into the first plug-in connector interface;
- a second plug-in connector interface located at a second location on the printed circuit board;
- and
- a second memory riser module installed into the second plug-in connector interface;
- wherein the information handling system is configured to instantiate a first workload on a processor, to allocate a first processing resource of the first memory riser module to the first workload based upon the first plug-in connector interface being located at the first location, to instantiate a second workload on the processor, and to allocate a second processing resource of the second memory riser module to the second workload based upon the second plug-in connector interface being located at the second location.
