Healthcare charge capture and prioritization system and method

A Current Procedural Technology (CPT) code prioritization platform, comprising:

• a server having a system processor running a healthcare charge entry module configured to, in order to process and manage healthcare charge entry and notifications:
• associate said CPT with a patient;
• receive CPT information for said patient for a predetermined period, including provider information and patient information;
• determine whether the provider for each received CPT is a physician or an advanced practice provider (APP);
• determine whether multiple CPTs occurred over the predetermined period;
• associate, via the server, a work relative value unit (RVU) with each received CPT;
• compare the CPT RVUs, via the server, to rank the CPT RVUs over the predetermined period;
• if there is a tie for the highest CPT RVU value, select a physician CPT with the highest RVU for claim submission, otherwise, select a CPT with the highest RVU for claim submission;
• and
• generate a claim for the predetermined period using the selected CPT.
