System and method for product authentication and validation using software tokens

A method comprising:

• transmitting a first request to receive a security token to be stored in a component associated with a product line;
• receiving the security token, wherein the security token is a software security artifact that is used to uniquely identify the component;
• associating the security token with a unique identifier that uniquely identifies the security token;
• receiving a second request to transmit the security token for the product line;
• transmitting the security token to a production line server;
• receiving a report file comprising the security token that is stored into the component;
• registering the security token with a token server, wherein registering the security token with the token server comprises transmitting the security token to the token server, such that inquiries about the security token are tracked by the token server;
• determining that wireless communication channel reliability between a remote server and the production line server is less than a threshold percentage;
• and
• transmitting a particular number of security tokens to the production line server;
• wherein transmitting the particular number of security tokens to the production line server comprises:
• dividing the particular number of security tokens into batches;
• and
• transmitting each batch one at a time to the production line server.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:

• transmit a first request to receive a security token to be stored in a component associated with a product line;
• receive the security token, wherein the security token is a software security artifact that is used to uniquely identify the component;
• associate the security token with a unique identifier that uniquely identifies the security token;
• receive a second request to transmit the security token for the product line;
• transmit the security token to a production line server;
• receive a report file comprising the security token that is stored into the component;
• and
• register the security token with a token server, wherein registering the security token with the token server comprises transmitting the security token to the token server, such that inquiries about the security token are tracked by the token server;
• determine that wireless communication channel reliability between a remote server and the production line server is less than a threshold percentage;
• and
• transmit a particular number of security tokens to the production line server;
• wherein transmitting the particular number of security tokens to the production line server comprises:
• dividing the particular number of security tokens into batches;
• and
• transmitting each batch one at a time to the production line server.
