Abstract
An illustrative method includes determining that a first application instance of an application is terminated, instantiating, in response to the determining that the first application instance of the application is terminated, a second application instance of the application, identifying one or more particular storage volumes based on the first application instance, and attaching the one or more particular storage volumes to the second application instance.
Claims18
A method comprising:
- determining that a first instance of an application is running;
- determining that the first instance of the application is terminated;
- instantiating, in response to the determining that the first instance is terminated, a second instance of the application;
- identifying one or more particular storage volumes based on the first instance;
- and
- attaching the one or more particular storage volumes to the second instance, wherein the identifying of the one or more particular storage volumes includes:
- identifying a cluster associated with the first instance;
- identifying one or more unattached storage volumes in the cluster based on one or more application instance parameters of the second instance;
- and
- identifying, from the one or more unattached storage volumes, the one or more particular storage volumes previously attached to the first instance.
A system comprising:
- a memory storing instructions;
- and
- a processor communicatively coupled to the memory and configured to execute the instructions to:
- determine that a first instance of an application is running;
- determine that the first instance of the application is terminated;
- instantiate, in response to the determining that the first instance of the application is terminated, a second instance of the application;
- identify one or more particular storage volumes based on the first instance;
- and
- attach the one or more particular storage volumes to the second instance, wherein the identifying of the one or more particular storage volumes includes:
- identifying a cluster associated with the first instance;
- identifying one or more unattached storage volumes in the cluster based on one or more application instance parameters of the second instance;
- and
- identifying, from the one or more unattached storage volumes, the one or more particular storage volumes previously attached to the first instance.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed, direct a processor of a computing device to:
- determine that a first application instance of an application is running;
- determine that the first instance of the application is terminated;
- instantiate, in response to the determining that the first instance of the application is terminated, a second instance of the application;
- identify one or more particular storage volumes based on the first instance;
- and
- attach the one or more particular storage volumes to the second instance, wherein the identifying of the one or more particular storage volumes includes:
- identifying a cluster associated with the first instance;
- identifying one or more unattached storage volumes in the cluster based on one or more application instance parameters of the second instance;
- and
- identifying, from the one or more unattached storage volumes, the one or more particular storage volumes previously attached to the first instance.
