Abstract
The disclosure is related to a touch display device including a display panel. By dividing an active area of the display panel into a plurality of sub-areas, and driving a touch electrode disposed on each of the plurality of sub-areas separately, a load of the touch electrodes is reduced depending on a size of the display panel and a performance of a touch sensing can be improved.
Claims24
A touch display device, comprising:
- a plurality of light-emitting elements disposed on an active area of a display panel;
- an encapsulation layer disposed on the plurality of light-emitting elements;
- a plurality of touch electrodes disposed on the encapsulation layer;
- and
- a plurality of touch routing lines electrically connected to the plurality of touch electrodes,
- wherein the active area includes a plurality of sub-areas divided by a first boundary along a first direction and a second boundary along a second direction that crosses the first direction, a portion of the plurality of touch electrodes disposed on each of the plurality of sub-areas are separated from a portion of the plurality of touch electrodes disposed on another sub-area from the plurality of sub-areas, and
- wherein the plurality of touch routing lines are disposed on the active area without being disposed on the second boundary along the second direction, and a portion of at least one of the plurality of touch routing lines is disposed on the first boundary of the first direction,
- wherein the plurality of sub-areas include a first sub-area and a second sub-area that are divided by the first boundary along the first direction, and
- a portion of a touch routing line electrically connected to a touch electrode disposed on the first sub-area is disposed on the second sub-area, and at least one first dummy electrode is disposed on at least a portion of the first sub-area that is aligned with an area of the second sub-area where the portion of the touch routing line is disposed.
6 more elements
A touch display device, comprising:
- an active area including a plurality of sub-areas divided by a first boundary along a first direction and a second boundary along a second direction that crosses the first direction;
- a plurality of sets of touch electrodes that are each disposed on a corresponding one of the plurality of sub-areas, each set of touch electrodes including a plurality of touch electrodes that are separated from touch electrodes included in remaining sets of the touch electrodes;
- a plurality of touch routing lines electrically connected to the plurality of touch electrodes included in the plurality of sets of touch electrodes;
- and
- at least one shield line disposed to surround at least a portion of an outermost touch routing line from the plurality of touch routing lines,
- wherein the plurality of touch routing lines are disposed on the active area without being disposed on the second boundary along the second direction, and a portion of at least one of the plurality of touch routing lines is disposed on the first boundary of the first direction.
3 more elements
A touch display device comprising:
- an active area including a plurality of sub-areas divided by a first boundary along a first direction of the active area and a second boundary along a second direction of the active area that crosses the first direction, the plurality of sub-areas including a first sub-area and a second sub-area that are separated from each other by the first boundary;
- a first plurality of touch electrodes disposed in the first sub-area but not the second sub-area;
- a second plurality of touch electrodes disposed in the second sub-area but not the first sub-area, the second plurality of touch electrodes separated from the first plurality of touch electrodes;
- a first plurality of touch routing lines that are connected to the first plurality of touch electrodes but not the second plurality of touch electrodes, the first plurality of touch routing lines extending from the first sub-area to the second sub-area such that the first plurality of touch routing lines cross the first boundary without crossing the second boundary;
- and
- a second plurality of routing lines that are connected to the second plurality of touch electrodes but not the first plurality of touch electrodes, the second plurality of routing lines extending from the second sub-area without crossing the first boundary and the second boundary,
- wherein at least one of the first plurality of touch electrodes or the second plurality of touch electrodes overlaps at least a portion of a contact hole for an electrical connection between a corresponding one of a plurality of light-emitting elements and a corresponding thin film transistor.
