Abstract
An EPF digital record transmission system may be configured to transmit an EPF digital record from an EPF device to a user device. The user device may then transmit the EPF digital record to a host server for storage and processing. The EPF device may also be configured to transmit health data and the user device may be configured to analyze one or both of the health data and the EPF digital record and present a health recommendation.
Claims20
An electronic plumbing fixture (EPF) comprising:
- a measuring device configured to record information;
- a processor;
- and
- a memory configured to store instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the EPF to:
- store the information in a digital record, wherein the digital record comprises an identifier;
- detect a transmitter device configured to transmit the digital record to a host server, wherein the transmitter device comprises a communication interface configured to receive the digital record from the EPF and transmit the digital record to the host server;
- encode the digital record;
- perform, based on detecting the transmitter device, a handshake with the transmitter device;
- and
- based on completion of the handshake, transmit the encoded digital record to the transmitter device, via the communication interface, wherein the transmitter device is further configured to transmit the encoded digital record to the host server via the communication interface.

- an electronic plumbing fixture (EPF) comprising a measuring device configured to record information;
- a transmitter device comprising a communication interface;
- and
- a host server,
- wherein the EPF is configured to:
- store the information in a digital record, wherein the digital record comprises an identifier;
- detect a transmitter device configured to transmit the digital record to a host server, wherein the transmitter device comprises a communication interface configured to receive the digital record from the EPF and transmit the digital record to the host server;
- encode the digital record;
- perform, based on detecting the transmitter device, a handshake with the transmitter device;
- and
- based on completion of the handshake, transmit the encoded digital record to the transmitter device, via the communication interface, wherein the transmitter device is further configured to transmit the encoded digital record to the host server via the communication interface;
- wherein the transmitter device is configured to:
- receive, via the communication interface, the encoded digital record from the EPF;
- and
- transmit the encoded digital record to the host server;
- and
- wherein the host server is configured to:
- receive the encoded digital record from the transmitter device;
- and
- compare, prior to storing the digital record in a database, the identifier associated with the digital record to a plurality of identifiers.
