Claims20
A method at an electronic device having a display, the method comprising:
- displaying a user interface on the display, wherein the user interface includes a folder icon representing an interface for a plurality of applications, wherein a plurality of application icons, each corresponding to an application of the plurality of applications, are displayed on the interface;
- displaying, with the folder icon, a badge including an indication displayed as a numerical value of at least one notification corresponding to one or more of the plurality of applications;
- receiving an input at the user interface associated with the folder icon;
- determining that only one application of the plurality of applications is associated with the at least one notification;
- and
- in response to the input and only one application of the plurality of applications being associated with the at least one notification, launching the one application with the at least one notification directly without launching the interface for the plurality of applications.
An electronic device comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a display,
- wherein the electronic device is configured to:
- display a user interface on the display, wherein the user interface includes a folder icon representing an interface for a plurality of applications, wherein a plurality of application icons, each corresponding to an application of the plurality of applications, are displayed on the interface;
- display, with the folder icon, a badge including an indication displayed as a numerical value of at least one notification corresponding to one or more of the plurality of applications;
- receive an input at the user interface associated with the folder icon;
- determine that only one application of the plurality of applications is associated with the at least one notification;
- and
- in response to the input and only one application of the plurality of applications being associated with the at least one notification, launch the one application with the at least one notification directly without launching the interface for the plurality of applications.
A non-transitory computer readable medium having stored thereon executable for execution by a processor of an electronic device, the electronic device comprising a display, the executable code comprising instructions for:
- displaying a user interface on the display, wherein the user interface includes a folder icon representing an interface for a plurality of applications, wherein a plurality of application icons, each corresponding to an application of the plurality of applications, are displayed on the interface;
- displaying, with the folder icon, a badge including an indication displayed as a numerical value of at least one notification corresponding to one or more of the plurality of applications;
- receiving an input at the user interface associated with the folder icon;
- determining that only one application of the plurality of applications is associated with the at least one notification;
- and
- in response to the input and only one application of the plurality of applications being associated with the at least one notification, launching the one application with the at least one notification directly without launching the interface for the plurality of applications.
