In some embodiments, an arrow comprises a shaft, a nock and a structural asymmetry orienting a weak bending axis of the arrow.

An arrow comprising:
- a shaft comprising a cavity, the shaft comprising an asymmetry;
- a nock;
- and
- a stiffener orienting a weak bending axis of the arrow, the stiffener oriented in the cavity, the stiffener comprising a cross-member that spans a diameter of the shaft.
