Abstract
A lighting system configured for daylight emulation. The system includes a plurality of light sources for generating a daylight-emulating output light spectrum. The system also includes a controller for dynamically controlling at least one of the intensity, directionality and color temperature to emulate sun position for at least one of a geography and time of day. The system further includes a networking facility that facilitates data communication with at least one external resource.
Claims12
A lighting system configured for daylight emulation, comprising:
- a plurality of light sources for generating a daylight-emulating output light spectrum,
- a controller for dynamically controlling at least one of an intensity, a directionality, and a color temperature of the daylight-emulating output light spectrum to emulate a sun position based on at least one of a geo-location and a time of day and to further emulate one or more environmental conditions associated with an illuminated area of the lighting system using one or more algorithms comprised therein, the one or more algorithms comprising at least one or more tuning control algorithms or one or more lighting algorithms, and
- a networking facility that facilitates data communication between the controller and at least one external resource for identifying the one or more environmental conditions and the at least one of the geo-location and the time of day.
A lighting system configured for daylight emulation, comprising:
- a plurality of light sources for generating a daylight-emulating output light spectrum,
- a controller for dynamically controlling at least one of an intensity, a directionality, and a color temperature of the daylight-emulating output light spectrum to emulate a sun position based on at least one of a geo-location and a time of day, and
- a networking facility that facilitates data communication between the controller and at least one external resource for the at least one of the geo-location and the time of day, wherein
- the controller is adapted to tune at least one of a bright spot, a shadow, and a reflection of the generated daylight-emulating output light spectrum on an illuminated area based on one or more environmental factors associated with the illuminated area using one or more algorithms comprised therein, the one or more algorithms comprising at least one or more tuning control algorithms or one or more lighting algorithms.
