Modular plumbing box system and methods of mounting the same

A box for use in a modular plumbing box system, the box comprising:

• a pair of opposing sidewalls extending between an upper wall and a lower wall;
• a rear wall extending between the opposing sidewalls and between the upper and lower walls, wherein the upper wall, the lower wall, the rear wall, and the opposing sidewalls define a cavity having an opening to the environment outside of the box;
• a connector unitarily defining a projection member and a projection receiver, the connector extending outwardly from one of the sidewalls of the opposing sidewalls;
• wherein the box is configured to be attached to a further box, with the opening of the box oriented in a same direction as an opening of the further box, by coupling a portion of the projection member of the box to a projection receiver of the further box and coupling a portion of a projection member of the further box to the projection receiver of the box, wherein the portion of the projection member of the box that is received within the projection receiver of the further box is oriented perpendicular relative to at least one of the sidewalls of the box;
• wherein the box is configured to be detached from the further box by decoupling the projection member of the box from the projection receiver of the further box and decoupling the projection member of the further box to the projection receiver of the box.

A box for use in a modular plumbing system for mounting to at least one stud within a wall, the box comprising:

• a pair of opposing sidewalls extending between a top wall and a bottom wall, a rear wall extending between opposing sidewalls and between said top and bottom walls, the top wall, bottom wall, rear wall, and both sidewalls define a cavity therewithin;
• a first connector unitarily defining a first projection member and a first projection receiver, the first connector extending outwardly from one of the sidewalls;
• and
• a second connector unitarily defining a second projection member and a second projection receiver, the second connector extending outwardly from the other of the sidewalls;
• and
• wherein the first connector of the box includes an aperture formed therethrough for attaching the first connector to a stud within a wall, and wherein the aperture of the first connector is spaced apart from the first projection member;
• and
• wherein a portion of the first projection member of the box is configured for being received in a projection receiver of a further box, and the first projection receiver of the box is configured for receiving a portion of a projection member of the further box in order to interconnect the first and further boxes, wherein the portion of the first projection member of the box that is configured for being received in the projection receiver of the further box is oriented perpendicular relative to at least one of the sidewalls of the box.
