Abstract
An 2-amino-4-(4-bromophenyl)-6-methoxypyridine-3.5-dicarbonitrile compound, its synthesis, and its use as an antibacterial agent.
Claims5
A method of treating a bacterial infection in a patient comprising administering to a patient in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a 2-amino-4-(4-bromophenyl)-6-methoxypyridine-3,5-dicarbonitrile compound;
- wherein the bacterial infection is caused by one or more gram positive bacteria selected from the group consisting of Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus aureus, and a combination thereof;
- one or more gram negative bacteria selected from the group consisting of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, and a combination thereof;
- or a combination thereof.
