A compound 1-(naphthalen-2-yloxy)-3-(piperidin-1-yl)propan-2-ol, its synthesis, and its use as an insecticidal agent.
Claims3
A method of making a 1-(naphthalen-2-yloxy)-3-(piperidin-1-yl)propan-2-ol compound, the method comprising:
- treating 2-((2naphthyloxy)methyl)oxirane with piperidine in a presence of triethylamine as a catalyst to obtain a crude product;
- purifying the crude product by recrystallization using absolute ethyl alcohol;
- and
- obtaining the 1-(naphthalen-2-yloxy)-3-(piperidin-1-yl)propan-2-ol compound.
