Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a flow cell receiver. The flow cell receiver can include at least one platen, having a plurality of ports. The flow cell receiver can include magnets. The flow cell receiver can be configured to automatically align, secure, and retain a flow cell carrier containing a flow cell.
Claims20
A method of detecting a fluorescently labeled nucleotide in a sample using a receiving device comprising a platform, a vacuum port and a magnet, wherein the vacuum port and the magnet are configured to align, secure, and retain a solid support on the platform, said method comprising:
- placing a solid support comprising a sample on the platform, wherein the sample comprises the fluorescently labeled nucleotide;
- directing an excitation beam onto the sample;
- and
- detecting the fluorescently labeled nucleotide in the sample by detecting a light emission from the sample.
