Abstract
An apparatus includes one or more processors configured to receive orientation data and to select, based on the orientation data, a particular filter from among multiple filters. The one or more processors are configured to perform signal processing operations associated with three-dimensional (3D) sound data based on the particular filter.
Claims29
An apparatus comprising:
- one or more processors configured to:
- receive ambisonic data, that represent ambisonic coefficients of an order greater than one, based on capture of an original three-dimensional (3D) sound field using a microphone array;
- receive orientation data of the microphone array located on the apparatus, wherein the orientation data identifies a particular orientation of the microphone array during capture of the 3D sound field;
- select, based on the particular orientation data, a particular filter that substantially matches the orientation of the original 3D sound field represented by the ambisonic data, from among multiple filters, wherein each of the multiple filters defines a plurality of filter values to be applied to the ambisonic data;
- and
- perform signal processing operations associated with the original 3D sound field that includes the ambisonic data based on the particular filter, wherein the particular filter is a first filter associated with a first orientation of the microphone array.
A method comprising:
- receiving ambisonic data, that represent ambisonic coefficients of an order greater than one, based on capture of an original three-dimensional (3D) sound field using a microphone array;
- receiving orientation data, of the microphone array located on an apparatus, at one or more processors, wherein the orientation data identifies a particular orientation of the microphone array during capture of the 3D sound field;
- selecting, based on the orientation data, a particular filter that substantially matches the orientation of the original 3D sound data represented by the ambisonic data from among multiple filters, wherein each of the multiple filters defines a plurality of filter values to be applied to the ambisonic data;
- and
- performing signal processing operations associated with the 3D sound field that includes the ambisonic data based on the particular filter, wherein the particular filter is a first filter associated with a first orientation of the microphone array.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
- receive ambisonic data, that represent ambisonic coefficients of an order greater than one, based on capture of an original three-dimensional (3D) sound data using a microphone array;
- receive orientation data of the microphone array located on an apparatus, wherein the orientation data identifies a particular orientation of the microphone array during capture of the 3D sound data;
- select, based on the particular orientation data, a particular filter that substantially matches the orientation of the original 3D sound data represented by the ambisonic data, from among multiple filters, wherein each of the multiple filters defines a plurality of filter values to be applied to the ambisonic data;
- and
- perform signal processing operations associated with 3D sound data that includes the ambisonic data based on the particular filter, wherein the particular filter is a first filter associated with a first orientation of the microphone array.
An apparatus comprising:
- means for receiving ambisonic data, that represent ambisonic coefficients of an order greater than one, based on capture of an original three-dimensional (3D) sound data using a microphone array;
- means for receiving orientation data of the microphone array located on the apparatus, wherein the orientation data identifies a particular orientation of the microphone array during capture of the 3D sound data;
- means for selecting, based on the orientation data, a particular filter, that substantially matches the orientation of the original 3D sound data represented by the ambisonic data, from among multiple filters, wherein each of the multiple filters defines a plurality of filter values to be applied to the ambisonic data;
- and
- means for performing signal processing operations associated with the 3D sound data based on the particular filter, wherein the particular filter is a first filter associated with a first orientation of the microphone array.
