Abstract
An image transmission device including a content compression unit configured to compress an image signal, a wireless transmission unit configured to wirelessly transmit the compressed image signal to an image reception device, and a processor configured to switch a power mode of the image transmission device to a low power mode based on a determination that an image signal is not being received from an external source or that an ambient brightness at the image reception device is less than a preset brightness, and control the content compression unit to increase a compression rate of the image signal in the low power mode.
Claims8
An image transmission device comprising:
- a content compression unit configured to compress an image signal;
- a wireless transmission unit configured to wirelessly transmit the compressed image signal to an image reception device;
- and a processor configured to:
- switch a power mode of the image transmission device to a low power mode based on a determination that an image signal is not being received from an external source;
- and control the content compression unit to increase a compression rate of the image signal in the low power mode, wherein an image signal corresponding to a background image is transmitted to the image reception device when the image signal is not being received, and is subject for increasing the compression rate.
