Methods and systems for generating archival data from virtual meetings

A computer implemented method comprising:

• detecting one or more regulated user accounts joining a virtual meeting hosted within a communication system;
• instantiating a virtual meeting participant instance based on detection of a first regulated user account of the one or more regulated user accounts joining the virtual meeting by executing a bot program as a virtual meeting participant to join the virtual meeting;
• capturing, via the virtual meeting participant instance in the virtual meeting, communication channel data from one or more communication channels of the virtual meeting starting from an earliest entry time of the first regulated user account to join the virtual meeting;
• generating one or more archival files based on the communication channel data captured by the virtual meeting participant instance;
• and
• generating one or more translated files by applying a compliance policy associated with at least one of the regulated user accounts to the one or more archival files.

A computer program product comprising a non-transitory computer-readable medium having a computer-readable program code embodied therein to be executed by one or more processors, the computer-readable program code including instructions for:

• detecting one or more regulated user accounts joining a virtual meeting hosted within a communication system;
• instantiating a virtual meeting participant instance based on detection of a first regulated user account of the one or more regulated user accounts joining the virtual meeting by executing a bot program as a virtual meeting participant to join the virtual meeting;
• capturing, via the virtual meeting participant instance in the virtual meeting, communication channel data from one or more communication channels of the virtual meeting starting from an earliest entry time of the first regulated user account to join the virtual meeting;
• generating one or more archival files based on the communication channel data captured by the virtual meeting participant instance;
• and
• generating one or more translated files by applying a compliance policy associated with at least one of the regulated user accounts to the one or more archival files.
