Abstract
Interaction between screen content coding tools and motion information is disclosed. A method of video processing includes modifying, for a conversion between a block of a video and a bitstream representation of the block, at least one of motion information associated with the block which is coded with intra block copy (IBC) mode; and performing the conversion based on the modified motion information.
Claims18
A method for video processing, comprising:
- modifying, for a conversion between a block of a video and a bitstream of the block, at least one motion information associated with the block which is coded with intra block copy (IBC) mode to generate a modified motion information;
- and
- performing the conversion based on the modified motion information,
- wherein the at least one motion information has a vertical component and a horizontal component, wherein the vertical component (My) of the at least one motion information (M) is modified to (My+BH), and the horizontal component (Mx) of the at least one motion information (M) is modified to (Mx+BW), wherein both BH and BW are constants,
- wherein the at least one motion information includes:
- (a) a block vector difference (BVD) which represents a difference between a block vector for the block and a block vector predictor for the block and, in this case, a modified BVD is coded in the bitstream,
- (b) block vector predictors (BVPs) for the block and, in this case, modified BVPs are used for decoding the block, and
- (c) decoded block vectors (BVs) for IBC mode and, in this case, modified decoded BVs are used to identify reference blocks for sample copying.
An apparatus for processing video data comprising a processor and a non-transitory memory with instructions thereon, wherein the instructions upon execution by the processor, cause the processor to:
- modify, for a conversion between a block of a video and a bitstream of the block, at least one motion information associated with the block which is coded with intra block copy (IBC) mode to generate a modified motion information;
- and
- perform the conversion based on the modified motion information;
A non-transitory computer readable recording medium storing a bitstream of a video which is generated by a method performed by a video processing apparatus, wherein the method comprising:
- modifying at least one motion information associated with a block of the video which is coded with intra block copy (IBC) mode to generate a modified motion information;
- and
- generating the bitstream based on the modified motion information;
- wherein the at least one motion information has a vertical component and a horizontal component, the vertical component (My) of the at least one motion information (M) is modified to (My+BH), and the horizontal component (Mx) of the at least one motion information (M) is modified to (Mx+BW), wherein both BH and BW are constants,
- wherein the at least one motion information includes:
- (a) a block vector difference (BVD) which represents a difference between a block vector for the block and a block vector predictor for the block and, in this case, a modified BVD is coded in the bitstream,
- (b) block vector predictors (BVPs) for the block and, in this case, modified BVPs are used for decoding the block, and
- (c) decoded block vectors (BVs) for IBC mode and, in this case, modified decoded BVs are used to identify reference blocks for sample copying.
