CCLM-based intra-prediction method and device

An encoding apparatus for an image encoding, the encoding apparatus comprising:

• a memory;
• and
• at least one processor connected to the memory, the at least one processor configured to:
• derive down-sampled neighboring luma samples based on neighboring luma samples of a luma block related to a chroma block;
• derive a linear model parameter based on the down-sampled neighboring luma samples and neighboring chroma samples of the chroma block;
• derive down-sampled luma samples based on luma samples in the luma block;
• derive prediction samples of the chroma block based on the linear model parameter and the down-sampled luma samples;
• derive residual samples based on the prediction samples;
• generate residual information based on the residual samples;
• and
• encode image information including the residual information;
• wherein the neighboring luma samples includes top neighboring luma samples located above a top boundary of the luma block,
• wherein the down-sampled neighboring luma samples includes a down-sampled top neighboring luma sample, and
• wherein based on a current coding tree unit (CTU) in which the luma block located being equal to a CTU in which the top neighboring luma samples are located, six top neighboring luma samples among the top neighboring luma samples of two sample row are used for deriving the down-sampled top neighboring luma sample, and
• wherein based on the current CTU in which the luma block located being different from the CTU in which the top neighboring luma samples are located, three top neighboring luma samples among the top neighboring luma samples of one sample row are used for deriving the down-sampled top neighboring luma sample.

An apparatus for transmitting data for an image, the apparatus comprising:

• at least one processor configured to obtain a bitstream for the image, wherein the bitstream is generated based on deriving down-sampled neighboring luma samples based on neighboring luma samples of a luma block related to a chroma block, deriving a linear model parameter based on the down-sampled neighboring luma samples and neighboring chroma samples of the chroma block, deriving down-sampled luma samples based on luma samples in the luma block, deriving prediction samples of the chroma block based on the linear model parameter and the down-sampled luma samples, deriving residual samples based on the prediction samples, generating residual information based on the residual samples, and encoding image information to generate the bitstream, wherein the image information includes the residual information;
• and
• a transmitter configured to transmit the data comprising the bitstream,
• wherein the neighboring luma samples includes top neighboring luma samples located above a top boundary of the luma block,
• wherein the down-sampled neighboring luma samples includes a down-sampled top neighboring luma sample, and
• wherein based on a current coding tree unit (CTU) in which the luma block located being equal to a CTU in which the top neighboring luma samples are located, six top neighboring luma samples among the top neighboring luma samples of two sample row are used for deriving the down-sampled top neighboring luma sample, and
• wherein based on the current CTU in which the luma block located being different from the CTU in which the top neighboring luma samples are located, three top neighboring luma samples among the top neighboring luma samples of one sample row are used for deriving the down-sampled top neighboring luma sample.
