Abstract
Logical dependencies are defined between alarm attributes. Alarm attributes associated with a mobile network are obtained. Dependencies between the alarm attributes are defined. At a network management system, alarms occurring in the mobile network are received. The dependencies are applied to the alarm attributes of alarms received at the network management system to generate defined combinations of the alarm attributes for the alarms. The alarms are presented on a user interface to address faults associated with the alarms based on the defined combination of alarm attributes.
Claims20
A method for defining logical dependency of alarm attributes, comprising:
- obtaining alarm attributes associated with a mobile network;
- defining dependencies between the alarm attributes;
- receiving, at a network management system, alarms occurring in the mobile network;
- applying dependencies to the alarm attributes of the alarms received at the network management system to generate defined combinations of the alarm attributes for the alarms;
- and
- presenting the alarms to address faults associated with the alarms based on the defined combination of the alarm attributes.
A device for defining logical dependency of alarm attributes, comprising:
- a memory storing computer-readable instructions;
- and
- a processor connected to the memory, wherein the processor is configured to execute the computer-readable instructions to:
- obtain alarm attributes associated with a mobile network;
- define dependencies between the alarm attributes;
- receive, at a network management system, alarms occurring in the mobile network;
- apply dependencies to the alarm attributes of the alarms received at the network management system to generate defined combinations of the alarm attributes for the alarms;
- and
- present the alarms to address faults associated with the alarms based on the defined combination of the alarm attributes.
A non-transitory computer-readable media having computer-readable instructions stored thereon, which in response to being executed by a processor causes the processor to perform operations comprising:
- obtaining alarm attributes associated with a mobile network;
- defining dependencies between the alarm attributes;
- receiving, at a network management system, alarms occurring in the mobile network;
- applying dependencies to the alarm attributes of the alarms received at the network management system to generate defined combinations of the alarm attributes for the alarms;
- and
- presenting the alarms to address faults associated with the alarms based on the defined combination of the alarm attributes.
