Prioritization between a scheduling request and HARQ feedback

An apparatus for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• means for identifying an overlap between resources for transmitting a scheduling request (SR) and a transmission occasion for transmitting hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback;
• means for determining which one of the SR or the HARQ feedback to transmit to a base station based on a relationship between a first beam for an uplink control channel for the HARQ feedback and a second beam for downlink communication;
• and
• means for transmitting the SR or the HARQ feedback based the determination,
• wherein if the relationship is the first beam for the uplink control channel does not follow the second beam for the downlink channel, the HARQ feedback is transmitted.

An apparatus for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• a memory;
• and
• at least one processor coupled to the memory and configured to:
• identify an overlap between resources for transmitting a scheduling request (SR) and a transmission occasion for transmitting hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback;
• determine which one of the SR or the HARQ feedback to transmit to a base station based on a relationship between a first beam for an uplink control channel for the HARQ feedback and a second beam for downlink communication;
• and
• transmit the SR or the HARQ feedback based the determination,
• wherein if the relationship is the first beam for the uplink control channel does not follow the second beam for the downlink channel, the HARQ feedback is transmitted.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer executable code for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), the code when executed by a processor cause the processor to:

• identify an overlap between resources for transmitting a scheduling request (SR) and a transmission occasion for transmitting hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback;
• determine which one of the SR or the HARQ feedback to transmit to a base station based on a relationship between a first beam for an uplink control channel for the HARQ feedback and a second beam for downlink communication;
• and
• transmit the SR or the HARQ feedback based the determination,
• wherein if the relationship is the first beam for the uplink control channel does not follow the second beam for the downlink channel, the HARQ feedback is transmitted.
