System and method for enhancing functionality of electronic devices

A device comprising:

• one or more processors;
• and
• one or more memories storing instructions which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the device to perform operations comprising:
• receiving a first notification from an electronic device, wherein the first notification comprises an indication that the electronic device has entered into an enhanced functionality mode;
• after receiving the first notification, sending a graphical user interface comprising a button to the electronic device;
• receiving a second notification from the electronic device that the button has been activated;
• and
• after receiving the second notification, sending a command signal to a controllable device, wherein the command signal includes an instruction for controlling the controllable device and wherein the instruction corresponds to a movement of the electronic device.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause a device to perform a operations comprising:

• receiving a first notification from an electronic device, wherein the first notification comprises an indication that the electronic device has entered into an enhanced functionality mode;
• after receiving the first notification, sending a graphical user interface comprising a button to the electronic device;
• receiving a second notification from the electronic device that the button has been activated;
• and
• after receiving the second notification, sending a command signal to a controllable device, wherein the command signal includes an instruction for controlling the controllable device and wherein the instruction corresponds to a movement of the electronic device.
