Systems and methods for detecting objects

A system for detecting objects with wireless signals, comprising:

• at least one transmitter configured to wirelessly transmit first pulses at a resonant frequency of an object to be detected and second pulses at a frequency different than the resonant frequency;
• at least one first receiver configured to receive first returns of the first pulses and second returns of the second pulses, wherein the first pulses cause the object to be detected to resonate thereby increasing amplitudes of the first returns from the object;
• at least one second receiver configured to receive third returns of the first pulses and fourth returns of the second pulses;
• a controller configured to analyze the first returns relative to the second returns for detecting the object and estimating a first distance of the object from the at least one first receiver, the controller configured to analyze the third returns relative to the fourth returns for detecting the object and estimating a second distance of the object from the at least one second receiver, the controller further configured to determine a location of the object based on the first distance and the second distance and to adjust a directional antenna of the at least one transmitter based on the location of the object determined by the controller;
• the at least one transmitter further configured to wirelessly transmit at least one of the first pulses and at least one of the second pulses after adjusting the directional antenna, wherein at least one of the first returns is from the at least one of the first pulses transmitted after adjusting the directional antenna, and wherein at least one of the second returns is from the at least one of the second pulses transmitted after the adjusting;
• and
• the controller further configured to analyze the at least one of the first returns relative to the at least one of the second returns to confirm detection of the object.
