Using in-home location awareness

A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a plurality of instructions executed on a mobile device including one or more processors, the instructions comprising:

• measuring, by the mobile device, one or more sensor values to determine a data point at each of a plurality of first times, the one or more sensor values measured using one or more sensors of the mobile device, wherein the one or more sensor values are determined from one or more signals emitted by corresponding one or more accessory devices, wherein the sensor values are received from accessory devices in a plurality of different locations;
• clustering, by the mobile device, data points within a threshold distance of each other to create a plurality of clusters;
• associating, by the mobile device, a first cluster of the plurality of clusters to a first location of a plurality of locations;
• associating, by the mobile device, a first accessory device of the one or more accessory devices with the first location based on the one or more signals emitted by the first accessory device for the first cluster;
• and
• providing, by the mobile device, a message using an application executing on the mobile device, the message for controlling the first accessory device of the one or more accessory devices.

A mobile device comprising:

• a database for storing sensor values of a data point;
• and
• one or more processors configured to:
• measure, by the mobile device, one or more sensor values to determine a data point at each of a plurality of first times, the one or more sensor values measured using one or more sensors of the mobile device, wherein the one or more sensor values are determined from one or more signals emitted by corresponding one or more accessory devices, wherein the sensor values are received from accessory devices in a plurality of different locations;
• cluster, by the mobile device, data points within a threshold distance of each other to create a plurality of clusters;
• associate, by the mobile device, a first cluster of the plurality of clusters to a first location of a plurality of locations;
• associate, by the mobile device, a first accessory device of the one or more accessory devices with the first location based on the one or more signals emitted by the first accessory device for the first cluster;
• and
• provide, by the mobile device, a message using an application executing on the mobile device, the message for controlling the first accessory device of the one or more accessory devices.
