Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to communication. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a network device is able to configure resources dedicated to repetition of transmission during the access procedure. If a terminal device determines to perform the repetition of transmission, the terminal device uses the dedicated resources for the transmission. The numbers of the repetition are determined based on a target power for the transmission and a maximum power at the terminal device. In this way, it improves coverage of the terminal device and the success in accessing channel.
Claims3
A method performed by a terminal device, the method comprising:
- receiving a configuration information comprising an indication indicating a set of preambles for repetitions for a message 3 physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission via radio resource control (RRC) signaling;
- transmitting a request for the repetitions for the message 3 PUSCH transmission by using a preamble from the set of preambles;
- receiving a random access response (RAR) indicating a first number of the repetitions for the message 3 PUSCH transmission;
- and
- performing the message 3 PUSCH transmission based on the first number of the repetitions.
A method performed by a network device, the method comprising:
- transmitting a configuration information comprising an indication indicating a set of preambles for repetitions for a message 3 physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission via radio resource control (RRC) signaling;
- receiving a request for the repetitions for the message 3 PUSCH transmission by using a preamble from the set of preambles;
- transmitting a random access response (RAR) indicating a first number of the repetitions for the message 3 PUSCH transmission;
- and
- receiving the message 3 PUSCH transmission based on the first number of the repetitions.
A terminal device comprising:
- at least one processor configured to:
- receive a configuration information comprising an indication indicating a set of preambles for repetitions for a message 3 physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission via radio resource control (RRC) signaling;
- transmit a request for the repetitions for the message 3 PUSCH transmission by using a preamble from the set of preambles;
- receive a random access response (RAR) indicating a first number of the repetitions for the message 3 PUSCH transmission;
- and
- perform the message 3 PUSCH transmission based on the first number of the repetitions.
