Alert and warning message protection in MSIM

An apparatus for wireless communication, the apparatus being a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• a memory;
• and
• at least one processor coupled to the memory and configured to:
• determine that a first mobile alert associated with a first subscriber identity module (SIM) is scheduled for broadcast from a first network;
• obtain, based on a determination that the first mobile alert associated with the first SIM is scheduled for broadcast from the first network, an indication of receiver resources assigned for receiving the first mobile alert associated with the first SIM by locking a transceiver resource management (TRM) resources from requesting the receiver resources for receiving mobile alerts associated with other SIMs other than the first SIM;
• and
• refrain, based at least in part on the indication, from receiving a second mobile alert associated with a second SIM scheduled from a second network by declining to decode at least a portion of a message from the second network for the second mobile alert.
