Consensus-based voting for network member identification employing blockchain-based identity signature mechanisms

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by a processor of a master node, cause the master node to perform operations, the operations comprising:

• recording a first validated member identity hash block (MIHB) based on a network identifier (NI) of a first member into a master blockchain ledger;
• obtaining a revised NI for the first member;
• generating an un-validated MIHB based at least on a number of attributes that changed between the NI and the revised NI;
• obtaining a plurality of votes corresponding to the revised NI;
• generating a trust score based on the plurality of votes,
• wherein a first vote value is associated with a communication session between a first user of the first member and a second user of a second member of a communication network, wherein the first vote value is obtained from the second user, wherein the generating the trust score comprises assigning a weight to the first vote value based on the second user;
• and
• in response to the trust score satisfying a trust score threshold, recording a second validated MIHB based on the revised NI into the master blockchain ledger.

A method for a master node, comprising:

• storing an un-validated member identity hash block (MIHB) comprising a network identifier for a first member of a communication network, wherein the first member is un-validated and associated with a first user;
• obtaining a vote value regarding the first user from a second user of a second member in the communication network, wherein the second member is validated;
• generating a trust score for the network identifier based on the vote value, wherein the network identifier comprises a physical address of the first member and a public IP address of the first member;
• comparing the trust score with a trust score threshold;
• and
• validating the first member, in response to the trust score satisfying the trust score threshold, wherein the validating comprises inserting a validated MIHB for the first member into a master blockchain ledger of the master node.
